Drive Zone Instructors undergo the highest of background checks based on a National Background and Fingerprint system. This system is much more rigorous and revealing than public school's use. Rest assured that we at Drive Zone put student safety first!

Our instructors are professionally licensed by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Additionally, each instructor must complete required professional development to adhere to the high standards set by Drive Zone!

	Debbie Fox Greenwood (Southside) Office Manager Certified Instructional Assistant Debbie is the mother of 4 sons and has 7 granddaughters! She is a Certified Instructional Assistant at Southport High School. "I believe Driver Education is the most important lesson to any new driver. I am proud to be a Drive Zone employee because it is a family-oriented program. We offer additional training to help coach their teenagers in this new beginning in their lives."

	Chet Dixon Lead Instructor College/University: Biola University, La Mirada CA Degrees Held: B.A. Pastoral Ministries; M.A. Philosophy Years Teaching: Since 2001 Years Teaching Driver's Ed: 2yrs Years at DZ: 2 yrs My wife and I moved to Indianapolis from Los Angeles in 2008 to enjoy closeness with family. I took a position with MSD Wayne Township working in high school special education where I continue to work today. We purchased our first home and just days ago (I'm writing this in December) welcomed our first child into the world, a boy! My wife jokes that we can at least be sure he will one day be a good driver! It seems to me that few things can impact a family life more than damage to a loved one in an auto collision. Because risk remains invisible, I think quality driver education is one of the most undervalued services professional educators can provide. A quality program will pay dividends in equipping students with the driving habits necessary for years of safe driving. Few things make me happier than collaborating with the other outstanding instructors at Drive Zone to help meet the need for a family oriented driver education experience. 	Doug Bauman Instructor BS Secondary Mathematics Education, MA Pastoral Theology Teaching: 11 years Driver's Ed: 10 years Time at DZ: 3 years Doug is a lifetime Southsider who loves spending time with his three kids. He and his family are huge Disney fans, visiting the parks at least once a year. Doug also enjoys doing yard work and taking walks with his kids. He considers it a "privilege and an honor to play such an integral role in developing the safe, defensive driving skills of teenagers." His hope is that the knowledge gained at Drive Zone will serve as the foundation upon which to build such a vital life-skill."
	Dick Chew Instructor BS Secondary Mathematics Education, MA Pastoral Theology Dick lives in the Center Grove area and is the proud father of three adult daughters! He taught math at Southport High School and has coached throughout most of his 35 years in education.
	Rod Dorsey Instructor BS/MS Indiana State University Teaching: 31 yrs Driver's Ed: 20 yrs Rod has been with Drive Zone since the start it started. Rod is married to Jailynn, and has two boys: Ross age 23, and Cord age 21. Rod coached football and wrestling for 25 years. He believes "Driver's Ed. Is a lot like coaching. I work in car coaching the student on their safe driving skills, hoping to make them a safe and defensive driver."
	Matt Evans Instructor BS Physical Education/Health Indiana State University Teaching: 12 yrs Driver's Ed: 3 yrs Matt has been married for 11 years to his wife, Raegan, and has 4 children: Katherine (7), Joey (4), Rachel (3), and Kara (7 months). Matt teaches PE/Health and coaches football. His hobbies include spending time with family, reading, and his involvement in church. Matt "went into driver education to do his part to keep our roads safer for teens, himself, and his family."

	Brad LaMar Instructor BS/MS IUPUI Brad is a father of two and a life-long Central Indiana resident. He played and coached baseball and enjoys writing as a hobby, though he has the ambition of becoming published. "Driver Education is a vital training that every driver needs. Education negates ignorance, meaning the more a person knows, the better choices they can make. Parent involvement is crucial to student success, and no other school includes the entire family like Drive Zone."

	Linda Straw Instructor BS/MS IU/IUPUI Teaching: 36 yrs Driver's Ed: 10 yrs I live in the Southport area, transplanted from the east side. I teach Physical Education in IPS at an elementary school. I have 3 children--all four-legged and furry! My hobby is clowning, which I do at school carnivals, MS walks, and company picnics. "Driver's education is a very important part of a teen's development. This is a skills that we use for most of the rest of our lives. I think it is important to give beginning drivers a good basic education in the skill of driving."

	Keith Hann Instructor AS Criminal Justice IUPUI Teaching: 1 year Driver's Ed: 1 year Time at DZ: 8 months Keith lives in Brownsburg, has a wife, a child, and a dog. Likes baseball and building things. "Students need information and instructors to be come educated and well-rounded individuals."
	Kimberly Heiney Instructor I went to Indiana State University, graduated with a bachelor’s in physical education K-12. I have taught driver education for 3 years and live in Indianapolis. I was recently married in 2011 and now have a new baby girl! I love running and working out. "I teach driver's ed because I believe that Drive Zone is the best program and has the best instructors out there!"
	Steve Naperstick Instructor AS Applied Sciences Northern Oklahoma College Teaching: 12 years Driver's Ed: 5+ years I live in Beech Grove with one stepson and four cats. I enjoy music and travelling. "I thought survival in the military and believe that Driver's Ed is actually a survival course. I believe we can and will save lives by what we teach."
	Carleen Underwood Instructor BS Business Administration MS Accounting U of I Teaching: 15 years Driver's Ed: 1 year Time at DZ: 6 months I joined the Drive Zone family in July 2011. The most important thing to me is being able to be a part of a student’s life and help them to achieve their personal goals. "Becoming a safe and defensive driver is one of the most crucial skills all of us should master. Having the opportunity to teach students in an environment with family-oriented values enhances their learning and let’s parents share in each student’s success."
	Dan Jones Instructor BS in Physical Education IUPUI / MS Education IWU Teaching: 12 years Driver's Ed: 1 year Time at DZ: 1 year I live in Avon and have 2 children. I love sports, coaching, teaching children, and seeing them grow. "I love knowing how teaching Driver's Ed will save lives in our community."
